Laura was born and raised in beautiful Vicenza, Italy. In 1987, she relocated to Honolulu where she later became a student at Hawaii Pacific University. She began developing a keen interest in real estate, reading everything she could find, watching late-night infomercials, and buying courses by Dave Del Dotto, Robert Allen, and Carlton Sheets. That same year she became a real estate agent.
She joined Dolman and Associates in Honolulu, and right away she was inspired by some of the top agents and investors on the island. In 1991, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and moved to Missouri. Once on ‘the mainland,’ her real estate career as an investor took off. She continued her education by earning an MBA in Finance. By the mid-1990's, Laura had already acquired a sizable portfolio (over 20 properties), consisting mostly of multi-families for rental income – and she was barely 30 years old! She was making more money in part-time real estate (less than 10 hours a week) than in her full-time corporate job, so in 1996 she decided to flip the switch and devote herself entirely to real estate. She soon began sharing her knowledge of real estate investing, proven strategies, and creative financing techniques by hosting real estate seminars. And, given the widespread use of the Internet, she decided to also share her practical knowledge and experience via online mentoring and coaching. In 2010, she opened The REI Lab, Inc. dedicated to coaching new and upcoming investors. With a love for laid-back lifestyle and great weather, she decided to relocate in May of 2015 to Broward County, Florida; the midpoint between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Liz, Laura's daughter, grew up in Real Estate and is now a Real Estate investor and mentor. In 2015, she started investing in real estate and over the years, she has helped hundreds of investors start their careers and streamline their businesses to work more efficiently and beneficially.
Internet marketer by trade, she has exponentially grown Real Estate Investing Women, Laura Alamery, and other client business brands with experience in event management in 17 cities. She co-founded Real Estate Investing Women and has managed numerous wholesale deals in areas such as South Florida and Saint Louis, Saint Petersburg, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Orlando, and Philadelphia, while living with her son in South Florida. Each of those deals have been closed virtually without ever physically seeing the property. In 2023, she branched out into rentals and fix-and-flips to broaden her expertise.
